“Man, you don’t know what it’s like to be a wise man.

“I mean, no offense. You could be the wisest motherf#@$&r on the block. That’s not what I’m saying. Know what I mean? A wise man’s gotta be somebody. It’s gotta mean something to people. I bust my ass out here.

Like my old man used to say: it’s a nativity, not a naïveté scene, you know.”

Richard works nights as Melchior, the philosopher king bearing Myrrh. He is a self-published poet and a third generation wise man.
